For the crust
250 grams Pastry flour
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon sugar
100 milliliters Corn oil
1 egg
2 tablespoons Fruit Vinegar
3 tablespoons ice cold water

Preparation steps

For the crust, mix flour in a bowl with salt, sugar, oil, egg, vinegar and water and knead quickly. Form dough into a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and let rest for at least 1 hour in the refrigerator.

Meanwhile, for the filling, dice pumpkin, place in a pot and cover with about 100 ml (approximately 3 1/2 ounces) of water. Cook pumpkin until soft and then drain. Mix cooked pumpkin in a bowl with cream, milk, eggs and sugar. Then add cinnamon, cloves and nutmeg and mix well.

Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Grease the pie plate. Roll out pie crust dough between two sheets of plastic wrap to create a 26 cm (approximately 10 inch) diameter thin circle. Place crust into the pie pan.

Pierce pie crust with a fork several times. Pour pumpkin mixture into the crust and bake in the preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 1 hour.

Let pie cool. Serve sprinkled with almonds and powdered sugar.
