Ingredients

for 10 pieces
10 sheets Puff pastry dough (frozen; square shaped)
1 Egg
100 grams Apricot jam
Coarse sugar
Sliced almonds

Preparation steps

Thaw the puff pastry. Beat the egg and coat the pastry sheets with it.

Place the pastry sheets on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (fan: 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes.

Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the the baked pastries to cool slightly.

Mix the apricot jam with 1 tablespoon hot water and brush the hot pastries with it. Sprinkle with sanding sugar and/or almonds slivers.
