200 grams butter
1 pinch salt
200 grams sugar
4 eggs
6 Tbsps Poppy seeds
125 milliliters milk
500 grams Pastry flour
3 tsps Baking powder

Preparation steps

1.

Beat the butter, sugar and salt until fluffy and gradually stir in the eggs. Mix flour and baking powder, stir into the egg-butter mixture and gradually pour in milk. Add additional milk, if necessary. Stir in the poppyseeds.

Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and bake on the middle rack in an oven (ventilated) preheated to 160°C (approximately 325°F) 50-60 minutes until a wooden pick comes out clean. Turn out the cake onto a wire rack and let cool. Cut into pieces and serve.
