50 milliliters water
70 grams sugar
1 Cinnamon stick
250 milliliters dry Red wine

Preparation steps

1.

Halve the plums and remove the pits. Heat water, sugar and cinnamon stick in a saucepan and add the plums. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the plums are soft. Remove the plums from the saucepan and pour in the wine.

Simmer until liquid is reduced to about 2/3.

Divide the plums in jars and cover with the cooking liquid. Serve at room temperature or cold.
