Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to 190°C (170°C in a fan oven), 375°F, gas 5. Butter the cake tin and dust with flour.

Cream together the butter and sugars and stir in the marzipan. Add the eggs and liqueur and beat until fluffy. Mix the flour with the cinnamon and baking powder and stir in. Tip into the cake tin and smooth the top flat.
3.
Arrange the plum halves in a spiral working from the outside to the centre and press down gently. Sprinkle with sugar and bake in the oven for approx. 45 minutes (cocktail stick test).
