Preparation steps

Make a well in the center of the flour. Crumble the yeast into the well and cover the yeast with lukewarm water. Sprinkle with flour, cover the bowl and let sit about 30 minutes. Add the remaining water, salt, and oil and knead into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour. Preheat the oven to 220°C (approximately 425°F).

Knead the dough again, roll out a thick crust and transfer to the baking pan. Drizzle the dough with oil. Spread the tomato sauce on the dough and sprinkle with cheese. Top with slices of salami. Bake until golden brown, about 25 to 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
