Bell peppers (1 red, 1 yellow, about 200 grams)
7 ounces
1 ¾ cups
Preparation

Kitchen utensils

1 Pot, 1 Small knife, 1 Large knife, 1 Cutting board, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Rolling pin, 1 Hand mixer (with dough hook), 1 Offset spatula, 1 Slotted spoon, 1 Sieve, 1 Mixing bowl, 1 small Bowl (13 cm diameter) (approximately 5 inches), 1 Tablespoon, 1 Teaspoon, 1 Box grater, 2 Baking sheets, 1 Parchment paper

Preparation steps

1.
Pizza Faces preparation step 1

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt and a pinch of sugar in a bowl. Add the quark, milk, and 6 tablespoons oil and knead with the dough hook of a hand mixer until smooth. If the dough is too crumbly, knead in remaining oil.

2.
Pizza Faces preparation step 2

Cut the broccoli into florets, rinse and drain. Rinse zucchini, wipe dry and cut into slices.

3.
Pizza Faces preparation step 3

Cook broccoli and zucchini in successive batches in a pot of boiling salted water until color brightens, about 1 minute each. Remove with a slotted spoon, rinse under cold water and drain.

4.
Pizza Faces preparation step 4

Halve the bell peppers, remove seeds, rinse, dry and cut into strips. Coarsely grate the cheese.

5.
Pizza Faces preparation step 5

Roll out dough on a lightly floured work surface to a large round (about 55 x 30 cm) (approximately 22 x 12 inches).

6.
Pizza Faces preparation step 6

Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Use a small bowl (13 cm diameter)(approximately 5 inches) as a guide to cut out 8 rounds from the dough, as close together as possible. Arrange 4 dough rounds on each prepared baking sheet.

7.
Pizza Faces preparation step 7

Cut ears and hats from the remaining dough as desired, then press onto the dough rounds (into faces).

8.
Pizza Faces preparation step 8

Top the dough rounds lightly with tomatoes and season with a little salt and pepper. Arrange the other vegetables as the mouth, eyes and nose on each dough round. Sprinkle with the grated cheese and bake one sheet at a time on the second shelf from the bottom of preheated oven at 200°C (fan oven 180°C, gas mark 3) (approximately 400°F) until crust is golden brown and toppings are hot, about 20 minutes. Let cool slightly before serving.
