250 grams powdered sugar
4 tablespoons Orange liqueur
90 grams Pistachio
75 grams chocolate hazelnut spread
150 grams colorful Maraschino cherry

Preparation steps

Dice marzipan and place into a bowl. Add powdered sugar and Cointreau and beat until smooth. Grind pistachios and knead into 200 grams (approximately 7 ounces) of the marzipan mixture. Shape hazelnut spread into an 18 cm (approximately 7 inch) long log. Push cherries into log. Roll out pistachio marzipan mixture and wrap around hazelnut log to enclose completely, shaping into a log.

Shape remaining marzipan into a loaf, about 20 x 10 cm (approximately 8 x 4 inches). Slice in half horizontally. Use thumbs to shape a well into each half, running the entire length of each. Press pistachio-hazelnut log into lower half and top with upper half.

Melt chocolate glaze. Set marzipan loaf on a wire rack and coat with the glaze. Let set slightly then decorate log with remaining cherries and let set entirely. Slice and serve.
