1 kilogram fresh kale
2 onions
2 tablespoons Lard
peppers (freshly ground)
300 milliliters Beef broth
200 grams Smoked meat
250 grams smoked Mettwurst (or other cured pork sausage)
350 grams Pinkel sausage (or other cured sausage)
2 tablespoons Oats
salt
cooked Boiled potato (for serving)

Preparation steps

Clean the kale and remove the leaves from the stalk. Then blanch for 2 minutes in boiling water. Remove and chop kale coarsely. Then prepare a large roasting pan with lard over medium heat. Meanwhile peel and chop the onions. Once onions have been chopped add them to the hot roasting pan, let cook. Then add the kale, (pepper to taste) and pour broth. Let simmer for 30 minutes at medium heat.

Add the smoked meat and cook for another 15 minutes in a closed pot. Cut the smoked Mettwurst (sausage) into slices, then along with the Pinkel cook for another 20 minutes at low heat. Stir in the oats and allow to cook for 10 minutes. Divide among plates, serve with boiled potatoes and salt and pepper to taste.
