Preparation steps

1.

For the pastry: combine flour, butter, sugar, egg and milk and knead into a smooth dough. Shape into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap, refrigerate for 20 minutes.

Grease pie pan (23 cm in diameter) (approximately 9 inch). Roll out pastry and line pie pan with it, making an edge all around.

For the topping: whisk eggs and butter with an electric mixer. Add flour, vanilla, sugar, agave syrup, whiskey and chopped pecans. Arrange mixture on the top of pastry and garnish with pecan halves.

Bake in preheated oven at 200°C (approximately 400°F) for about 15 minutes, reduce oven temperature to 170°C (approximately 325°F) and bake for another 40 minutes.

Cool briefly. Whip cream. Pipe cream on top of pie and garnish with pecans. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
