1 Springform pan (24 cm) (approximately 9 1/2 inches)
150 grams Oats
125 grams butter
50 slivered almonds
3 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 Chocolate mousse (chilled)
375 grams Whipped cream (whipped)
1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 can Bartlett pear (10 halves)
10 Maraschino cherry
3 tablespoons toasted slivered almonds

Preparation steps

1.

Toast the oatmeal in a frying pan with 25 grams (approximately 2 tablespoons) butter, then let cool. Stir in the sliced almonds and powdered sugar.

Place the springform pan ring on a pie plate and press the oatmeal over the bottom to form a crust.

Whip the chocolate mousse with 125 ml (approximately 1/2 cup) water. Fold in 250 grams (approximately 1 cup) whipped cream. Spread over the base. Drain the pears well and arrange in the mousse. Place the cake in the refrigerator and let cool.

4.

Whip the remaining whipped cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff then transfer to a piping bag with a large star tip. Remove the springform pan ring. Coat the sides of the cake with sliced almonds and decorate the top with whipped cream and maraschino cherries.
