100 milliliters Red wine
300 milliliters Beef broth

400 grams Spaghetti
freshly grated Parmesan (to sprinkle)

Preparation steps

Peel the carrot and finely chop. Finely chop the celery. Peel the onion and the garlic and finely chop. Chop the bacon as well. Heat the oil and brown the bacon and the ground meat over high heat, breaking any large clumps. Sauté the carrots, celery, onion, and garlic for with the meat. Add the tomato paste and the wine and broth. Season with salt and pepper. Stir in the peeled tomatoes and simmer for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally, adding broth if the sauce reduces too much.

Cook the spaghetti according to package until al dente.

Season the sauce to taste. Drain the pasta and transfer to the plates. Spoon the sauce over the pasta and serve sprinkled with Parmesan.
