Whole grain bread contains the healthy substances from the whole grain. Important B-vitamins, minerals, trace elements, fibre and valuable unsaturated fatty acids are mainly found in the outer layers and in the germ of the cereal grain. So the little gourmets can grow healthily!

Depending on your preference, the owl breads can be covered in different colours. For example, a pepper can be turned into the feathers for the wings or tomato slices into owl eyes.

Preparation steps

1.

Spread the bread lightly with butter. Place a slice of cheese and ham on 4 of the bread slices. Rinse the cucumber and cut into thin slices. Place 8 slices of cucumber on each of the remaining 4 bread slices. Press the slices with the ham and cheese onto the slices with the cucumber. Slice each side on a diagonal to form 2 wings. The rest of the sandwich will form the head and body of an owl.

2.

Cut the pickles into thin slices. Spread the cream cheese onto the owl wings and lay the pickles on top. Place 2 dots of cream cheese on the owl's head for eyes. Place 2 cucumber slices on top. Squeeze a small amount of ketchup on each cucumber and arrange 2 olives on top. Rinse the radishes and cut 4 small triangles for the beaks. Place a small dot of the cream cheese below the eyes and arrange the nose on top. Serve the owl's head with the wings on plates.
