Ingredients
1 kilogram organic Navel Orange
1 ½ kilograms sugar (Jam sugar)
4 centiliters Orange liqueur
How healthy are the main ingredients?
sugar

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the orange with hot water and pat dry. Remove the peel, making sure not to get any pith. Cut the peel into thin strips. Cut the fruit in half. Squeeze the juice out of each half. Measure the amount of juice and weigh out 225 gram (approximately 1 cup) of sugar per 1/4 liter (approximately 1 cup) of juice. Cook the juice and sugar for about 30 minutes with the peel, until it begins to jell. Place 1 tablespoon in a cold dish to see if the jam sets.

2.

Stir occasionally and then remove from heat. Add the orange liqueur. Transfer into hot, sanitized jars and seal immediately. During cooling, turn the glass several times. The jam is good for about 8 months.
