- 1 package Dry yeast
- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 200 milliliters lukewarm water
- 50 grams melted butter
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 2 onions (finely chopped)
- 2 tablespoons Marigold (for decorating)
- 50 grams grated Gouda
- As desired
- 2 Marigolds (for decorating)
Mix the flour with the dry yeast in a mixing bowl with the melted butter, salt, marigold petals and onions. Add the lukewarm water and knead with the kneading hook of the electric mixer to form an elastic dough. Cover and let rest in a warm place about 60 minutes, until the volume has doubled.
Knead the dough on a floured work surface thoroughly and shape into a loaf. Place on a greased baking sheet and sprinkle with cheese. Let rest another 20 minutes. Bake at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 50-60 minutes. Remove and let cool. Sprinkle with marigold petals before serving.
