100 grams butter
200 grams Nougat
100 grams powdered sugar
2 eggs
salt
1 packet Vanilla sugar
300 grams Pastry flour
½ teaspoon Baking powder
50 grams Dark couverture chocolate

Preparation steps

1.

Knead together butter and nougat. Add in eggs, 1 pinch of salt, vanilla sugar and powdered sugar. Knead flour and baking powder, little by little, into nougat mixture. Form a ball, wrap in plastic wrap and chill for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with baking paper. Divide the dough into 5 portions and shape into thin rolls, about 50 cm (approximately 20 inches) long. Cut each into 8 pieces of equal length and shape into small croissants and place on the baking sheet.

Bake for 15 minutes, until light brown. Let cool on a wire rack. Melt chocolate over a double boiler and dip one end of each pastry into chocolate. Allow to set on wire rack.

Serve immediately, or store in an airtight container.
