175 grams Currants
liter milk
3 packets Vanilla sugar
250 grams Pastry flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder
120 grams sugar
1 egg
50 grams butter
butter (for the pan)
powdered sugar

Preparation steps

Rinse berries, remove from the panicles and drain well.

Mix flour with baking powder and add sugar, egg, softened butter and milk, mix well. Fold berries into the batter. Line muffin pan with paper cases and spread batter into them. Bake in preheated oven at 175°C (approximately 350°F) for about 25 minutes. Remove from the oven and cool slightly. Remove from the pan and cool completely. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
