2 eggs
50 grams softened butter
80 grams sugar
1 pinch salt
1 packet Vanilla sugar
125 grams Milk chocolate
100 milliliters milk
100 grams dried Plum (pitted)
50 milliliters Apple juice
150 grams Pastry flour
2 tsps cream of tartar
For preparing and decorating
1 packet dark Chocolate frosting
1 12-well Muffin tin
12 paper Baking cups
12 Candies (Finished product)

Preparation steps


Finely chop the dried plums and soak in the apple juice. Separate the eggs. Beat the egg yolks with the butter, half of the sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until light and creamy. Melt the milk chocolate in a double boiler or heatproof bowl over a saucepan of simmering water and stir into the egg yolk mixture. Gradually whisk in the milk, then stir in the soaked dried plums. Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold into the batter alternately with the flour and cream of tartar. Mix until smooth. 


Line the muffin tin with paper baking cups and fill the cups about halfway with the batter. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 20-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Remove from the oven and cool on a wire rack. 


Prepare the dark chocolate frosting according to the package instructions and spread onto the cooled muffins. Place a candy heart on top of each muffin and serve.
