2 cups Whole milk
¼ cup superfine caster sugar
4 medium egg yolks
½ teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons Milk chocolate
1 teaspoon fresh Nutmeg

Preparation steps

1.
Divide the milk and sugar between four large microwaveable mugs. Microwave on high for 3 - 4 minutes, stirring every minute, until the sugar has dissolved and small bubbles form at the edges of the milk.

Gently beat an egg yolk and a few drops of vanilla extract into each mug. Cook in the microwave on medium for 3 - 4 minutes, whisking every minute, until thickened and no longer eggy in flavour.
3.
Carefully remove from the microwave and leave to cool slightly for 5 minutes. Grate over some chocolate and fresh nutmeg before serving.
