1 shallot
1 garlic

500 grams chopped tomatoes

1 egg

Preparation steps

Rinse the beans thoroughly in a sieve and drain well.

Peel and finely chop the shallot and garlic, and saute together in a pan with 2 tablespoons of hot oil. Add the beans and tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for about 10 minutes over medium heat.

Rinse the chile, cut in half lengthwise, remove seeds and finely chop. Mix with the ground beef, egg and bread crumbs, then season with salt and pepper. Form the mixture into 8 round, flat patties and cook on both sides with 2 tablespoons of oil in a hot pan. Reduce the heat and cook until the meat is done.

Serve the meat and beans with tortilla chips if desired.
