Preparation steps

1.

Preheat oven to 100°C (approximately 210°F).

2.

Preparing the meringue in 2 batches, using half of the ingredients for each.

3.

Mix half the sugar, cornstarch and baking powder. Beat half the egg whites until stiff and gradually add the sugar mixture until the mixture is very stiff. Repeat the process with the remaining ingredients, and then place all the meringue into a piping bag. On baking sheets lined with parchment paper, pipe 5 circles, each around 22 cm (approximately 9 inches) in diameter. Bake for 2 1/2 hours, rearranging the baking sheets halfway through the baking time. Keep the oven door ajar with a wooden spoon. The meringue should more dry than bake. When the meringue is slightly detached from the paper, it is ready. Remove from the oven and let it cool down.

4.

Thaw ice cream until soft.

5.

Put a meringue layer on a serving plate, spread one variety of ice cream on it, and top  with the second layer. Repeat the process until all layers and ice creams are used.

6.

Whip the cream and distribute lightly on top and sprinkle with grated chocolate. Place in the freezer until the ice cream is frozen. Cut into pieces with an electric knife.
