Blend half the strawberries with 1 tablespoon icing sugar in a food processor or blender to a puree and pass through a fine sieve.
Lightly whisk the cream with the remaining icing sugar and rosewater (if using) until it holds soft peaks.
Put the meringues into serving glasses with the whipped cream and remaining strawberries. Drizzle over the strawberry puree and serve immediately.
