1 tablespoon butter
2 day-old White rolls
500 grams mixed Ground meat
2 eggs
1 tablespoon Mustard

Preparation steps

Peel and finely chop shallots. Cook shallots in butter until translucent. Set aside.

Soak rolls in lukewarm water, then squeeze to remove liquid. In a bowl, combine ground beef, rolls, shallot, egg and mustard. Season with salt and pepper and mix well. Grease a loaf pan with butter and fill with ground beef mixture. Smooth top. Bake in preheated oven (200°C or approximately 400°F), about 45 minutes. Let cool before removing from pan.

Cut tomatoes and meatloaf into slices. Toast bread. Spread toast pieces with mayonnaise. Layer half of toast with tomato and meatloaf slices. Top with remaining toast slices. Cut sandwiches on the diagonal, stick with toothpicks and serve.
