Sweet cherries (with stems)
20 grams
1
12-well Muffin tin

Preparation steps

1.

Rinse the cherries, pat dry, remove the stems and pits. Cut the marzipan into 24 pieces. Flatten each piece of marzipan and wrap around the cherries.

2.

Grease the wells of the muffin tin or line with paper baking cups.

3.

Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Beat the sugar, vanilla sugar, yogurt, butter, brandy and salt in a separate bowl until smooth. Add the eggs and mix well. Stir the flour into the egg mixture and mix until smooth. Fill each well of the muffin tin with about 1 tablespoon of the batter, place 2 cherries in each and evenly distribute the remaining batter on top. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 20 minutes. Remove from the oven and allow to stand for about 5 minutes before removing from the muffin tin. Cool completely on a wire rack.

4.

To garnish, remove the pits from the cherries. Roll the marzipan into small balls and place inside the pitted cherries. Dust the cooled muffins with powdered sugar and top each with a marzipan filled cherry.
