Preparation steps

1.

Combine the flour, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Make a well in the center and add the beaten egg. Distribute the marzipan, butter and chopped almonds over the top and mix with hands to form a smooth dough. Form into a ball, wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

From the dough into small balls and place onto the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes, until light golden. Remove from the oven and roll in powdered sugar while still warm. Allow to cool completely and serve or store in an airtight container.
