Marinated Berries with Custard
- For the berries
- 750 grams mixed Berry
- 2 tablespoons Currant liqueur (Crème de cassis)
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 packet Vanilla sugar
For the custard, mix 5 tablespoons milk with instant pudding until smooth. Bring remaining milk and cream to a boil in a pot, stir in sugar and whisk in the pudding mixture. Return to a boil while stirring. Cool the custard, stirring occasionally to prevent a skin from forming.
Sort berries, rinse and hull. Cut strawberries into small pieces. Mix with currant liqueur, sugar and vanilla sugar and let stand briefly. Serve with the custard.
