Preparation steps

For the dough: Beat the eggs with the sugar and vanilla until foamy. Stir the lemon zest with the Grappa and salt. Melt the butter. Mix the flour with the salt and mound on the table. Make a well in the flour. Place the melted butter and the egg mixture in the center of the dough. Knead to a smooth dough.

To cook: In a saucepan, heat the butter until bubbles appear when a wooden spoon is placed in the butter. Flour the table. Roll the dough out very thin. Cut into diamonds, about 4 cm (approximately 1 1/2 inches) on each side. Fry the dough in the hot butter until golden brown. Fry for 3-4 minutes and then drain on paper towels.

To serve: Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm or cold.
