3 tablespoons Rum
500 grams Pastry flour
3 teaspoons Baking powder
180 grams sugar
1 tablespoon Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
1 pinch ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
1 pinch ground Star anise
2 eggs
150 grams cold butter
250 grams Quark
80 grams chopped almonds
butter (for greasing)
powdered sugar (for dusting)

Preparation steps

Preheat the oven to 190°C (approximately 375°F).

Mix the raisins with the citrus peel and rum.

Combine the flour, baking powder, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and spices, make a well in the center, add the beaten eggs to the well and sprinkle the chopped butter around the edges. Add the quark and knead with your hands until smooth. Knead in the almonds and fruit-rum mixture. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and shape into balls. Grease 8 ovenproof glasses, add the dough and bake for about 30 minutes. Remove and let cool. Dust with powdered sugar to serve.
