250 grams dried chickpeas
3 garlic
salt
50 grams Tahini (from a jar)
1 lemon (juiced)
¼ teaspoon Cumin
4 tablespoons olive oil

Preparation steps

Soak chickpeas in water overnight, drain and place into a pot. Cover with water and simmer, covered, for about 40 minutes or until tender. Drain a a colander under cold water and puree with an immersion blender. Peel and chop garlic, mush with salt. Add garlic and tahini paste, lemon juice, cumin powder and oil, season with salt and refrigerate for 30 minutes.

Add olive oil and garnish with cilantro leaves and olives to taste. Serve with pita bread, if desired.
