Honey Almond Crescent Cookies
Combine the flour, butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, ground almonds, egg and 50 grams of honey in a large bowl. Mix everything together using a pastry cutter or two forks. Quickly knead with hands to form a smooth dough. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight. Divide the dough into 6 pieces, roll each piece out until about 1.5 cm (approximately 1/2 inch) thick and cut into 7 cm (approximately 2.5 inch) long pieces.
Form each piece into a crescent shape and place about 3 cm apart on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in an oven preheated to 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 12 minutes, until golden brown. Remove from the oven, drizzle with the remaining honey and roll in the turbinado sugar.
