- 4 slices Pumpernickel bread
- 200 grams pickled Herring
- 2 Red Bell pepper
- 2 green Bell pepper
- 2 shallots
- salt
- freshly ground peppers
Preparation steps
1.
Rinse and halve bell peppers, remove seeds and ribs and cut into small cubes.

Peel shallots and chop finely.
3.
Drain herring and dice finely.
4.
Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well, season with salt and pepper and arrange on pumpernickel ( if desired, cur bread into various shapes). Serve.
