Preparation steps

Rinse the sardines, pat dry and season the insides with salt and pepper. Rinse the thyme, shake dry and stuff into the sardines. Season the outside with salt and pepper and drizzle with olive oil. Grill, turning occasionally, for about 10 minutes.

Arrange on a serving plate. Serve garnished with lemon wedges, if desired.
