Preparation steps

Heat up the grill.

Melt the butter with the honey in a small saucepan. Mix in the lemon juice. Cut the bananas lengthwise and brush the cut sides with the honey mixture. Put the bananas on a wire rack (such as for vegetables) cut side down, and cook until golden brown, 2 minutes. Turn, brush with the mixture again, and cook an additional 2 minutes.

Arrange the grilled banana halves on plates. Mix the cinnamon with the remaining honey sauce, drizzle over the banana and serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
