Greek Orange Blossom Crescent Cookies

Beat the butter with the sugar and vanilla sugar until light and fluffy. Knead in the ouzo, eggs, flour, almonds and a pinch of salt. Form into two sausage shapes, wrap in cling film and chill in the refrigerator for around 1 hour.
Heat the oven to 200°C (180°C in a fan oven), 400°F, gas 6 and line baking trays with grease-proof paper.
Divide the dough into around 50 pieces and form each into small "half moons". Place them around 2 cm apart on the baking trays and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and transfer to a cooling rack. Brush with orange blossom water, dust with icing sugar and leave to cool.
