2 kilograms Plum
6 eggs
200 grams sugar
1 packet Vanilla sugar
1 pinch salt
200 grams softened butter
200 grams Pastry flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
200 grams ground Walnut
¼ ground cloves
1 packet clear Cake glaze
sugar (as required in package instructions)

Preparation steps

Rinse plums, halve and remove pits. Separate eggs. Mix egg whites until stiff. In a separate bowl, mix egg yolks, sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and butter until fluffy. Mix flour, baking powder, walnuts and cloves into yolk mixture. Fold in egg whites. Roll out dough on a greased baking sheet and press into place. Spread plums decoratively on dough and press plums lightly into dough. Bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for 30-35 minutes. Remove cake from oven and turn off oven.

Prepare glaze with sugar, according to package instructions. Drizzle glaze in thin lines over warm cake. Set oven heat to "off." Place cake in oven and let rest for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
