1 Pot, 1 Measuring cups, 1 Cutting board, 1 Large knife, 1 Serrated knife, 1 Tablespoon, 1 Wooden spoon, 1 Peeler, 1 Fine grater, 1 Sieve, 1 Garlic press, 1 Can opener, 1 Small knife

Preparation steps

Step 1/7
For the muffins: heat the oven to 180°C (160° fan) 350°F gas 4. Grease 8 large muffin tins.
Step 2/7
Beat the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Step 3/7
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating thoroughly after each addition.
Step 4/7
Fold in the flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, cinnamon and apple sauce and stir until just combined.
Step 5/7
Spoon into the tins and bake for 25 minutes until risen and golden.
Step 6/7
For the icing: sift the icing sugar into a bowl and stir in the milk and vanilla until smooth. If the icing is too stiff, add more milk.
Step 7/7
Spoon the icing on top of the muffins, allowing it to run down the sides. Sprinkle over the cinnamon and top with apple pieces.
