Fried Donuts with Fruits
Melt the butter. Mix the egg yolks with melted butter, sugar, lemon juice, cognac and flour, and knead to a smooth dough. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and let it rest overnight. Divide the dough into 20 parts and roll out each part thinly to form the donuts. Heat the frying oil to 180°C (approximately 350°F) and fry the donuts in it until golden brown. Drain the fried donuts on kitchen paper and roll into sugar.
Rinse the fruits, halve or cut into slices or pieces. Arrange the fruit slices or pieces decoratively on a large plate. Place the fried donuts in the middle of the plate and sprinkle to taste with sugar.
