Ingredients

springform pan 24 cm in diameter
softened Butter (for the pan)
Pastry flour (for the pan)

tart Apples (such as Boskop)
6 centiliters
200 grams
150 grams
50 grams

organic Lemon (zested)

400 grams
80 milliliters
40 grams

Preparation steps

1.

Butter springform pan and sprinkle with flour.

Peel apples, quarter and core, slice. Mix with cider.

Whisk butter with sugar, honey and lemon zest until fluffy. Gradually add eggs into the mixture. Combine flour with baking powder, add to the mixture, alternating with milk, to make smooth and spreadable batter. Add apples and spread in a pan. Smooth and sprinkle with almonds, bake in preheated oven at 180°C (approximately 350°F) for about 1 hour (inserted toothpick should come out clean). If cake browns too quickly, cover with aluminum foil.

Remove cake from the oven and cool. Loosen from the pan and serve.
