Slit the vanilla bean and scrape out the marrow. Beat with the butter, egg yolks and sugar until foamy. Sift the flour with the cornstarch and gradually fold into the egg yolk mixture.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pour the batter into a pastry bag with a floral nozzle and pipe out flowers on the baking sheet, leaving some distance between them.
Cut the cherries in half and place one on the center of each flower.
Bake in the oven at 200°C (approximately 400ºF) for about 10 minutes.
