Flatbread with Onion Topping
Ingredients
- For the dough
- 500 grams Pastry flour
- 20 grams Yeast
- ¼ l lukewarm milk
- 60 grams butter
- salt
Preparation steps
Mix the flour with salt in a bowl and make a well in the center. Crumble the yeast in the well and mix with half of the milk. Cover and let rise 20 minutes. Melt the butter in the remaining milk, add to the dough and knead until the dough comes away from the bowl. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Peel the onions and cut into strips. Dice the bacon and saute until translucent in a pan. Add the onions and fry until soft. Beat the eggs with the sour cream and season with salt, pepper and cumin and mix with the cooled onion mixture. Preheat the oven to 200°C (approximately 400°F). Roll out the dough and place on the greased baking sheet, forming an edge. Spread the bacon-onion mixture on top and bake until golden brown, about 35-40 minutes. Cut into pieces and serve.
