Preparation steps

1.
Pour the flour and sugar into a mixing bowl. Make a well in the middle and add the salt, baking powder and butter.

Using your fingertips, gradually work the flour into the mixture until you get a nice sandy texture.

Add the whole egg and the yolk and knead with the palm of your hand until you get an even dough. Add the chocolate curls.

Roll the mixture into a ball and wrap it in cling film and place it in the fridge for 2 hours.

Preheat the oven to 200°C | 400F | gas 6.

Lightly flour the work surface. Roll out the pastry to a thickness of about 5 mm. Use a pastry cutter to cut out the biscuits.
7.
Lightly oil the oven tray and arrange the biscuits on it, spacing them well apart. Bake in the oven for 10 minutes.
8.
Take the biscuits out of the oven, unstick them using a metal spatula and place them on a wire rack to cool.
