11 ozs Dark chocolate (60% cocoa solids)

Preparation steps

1.

Wipe the apples well to remove any waxy coating - otherwise the chocolate won't stick.

2.

Remove the stalks and put a stick in each stalk end.

Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over a pan of simmering (not boiling) water. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.

Dip the apples into the chocolate, swirling them around until coated.
5.
Dip the apples into a bowl of chopped nuts or coconut. Place on non-stick baking paper and leave to set.
