1 kilogram Plum (red, ripe)
1 kilogram jam sugar (1:1)
25 milliliters Plum wine (or prune juice)
1 small lemon (juiced)

Preparation steps

Rinse plums, remove pit, puree half and cut the rest into small pieces. In a pot, add lemon juice, sugar and plum wine to plums, mix well and leave for at least 1 hour. While stirring, slowly bring to a boil and then cook for 4 minutes.

Bring jam to setting point and fill clean jars.  To preserve the jam for longer, you will need to process the jars according to manufacturer's instructions, or visit http://nchfp.uga.edu/. Let cool. Serve on bread with butter or soft cheese.
