30 large Dried dates (pitted)
½ cup Port wine
¾ cup Roquefort cheese (or stilton cheese)
30 rashers Bacon
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
10 slices white Bread
30 leaves parsley

Preparation steps

1.
Heat the oven to its lowest setting
2.
Cut a slit in each date and mix together with the port; marinate for at least 4 hours. Then drain the dates and place a slice of cheese in each date. Wrap tightly in bacon.
3.
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the dates until the bacon is crispy.
4.
Cut out circles from the bread and toast in a hot oven for about 10 minutes.
5.
To serve, place a leaf of parsley on each circle of bread and place the bacon dates on top.
