The dark chocolate spices up the taste of the glass cake and brings some secondary plant substances into play due to the high cocoa content. Among other things, these have a positive influence on the blood sugar level and have a calming effect in stressful situations. They are also a super anti-aging agent, because they protect against cell damage.

The chocolate glass cake can be refined with chopped nuts or coconut flakes, depending on your preference.

Preparation steps

1.

Preheat the oven to 180°C (approximately 350°F). Butter the glass jars and dust with breadcrumbs.

2.

Beat the butter, sugar and vanilla bean seeds until light and creamy. Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Combine the flour with the whole oats and baking powder and stir into the egg mixture alternately with the milk. Mix until smooth. Coarsely chop the dark chocolate and fold into the batter. Spoon the batter into the prepared jars about 2/3 the way full. Bake for 35 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

3.

Remove from the oven, allow to cool and seal with lids if planning to give as gifts.
