Preparation steps

Mix the yeast with about 175 ml of warm water (approximately 6 ounces). Mix the flour with the sugar and salt in a bowl. Add the dissolved yeast with 4 tablespoons of olive oil to the flour and knead with the electric hand mixer to a smooth dough. Cover and let rest in a warm place for about 20 minutes.

Preheat the oven to 200°C convection (approximately 400°F).

Shape the dough into a long loaf and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Brush with the remaining oil and bake until golden brown, about 40 minutes.
