Preparation steps

1.

Add the wine to a pan and simmer over medium heat until reduced by half. Mix in the cream, and stir until combined. Simmer over medium heat stirring constantly, until reduced by half again. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the butter.

Season to taste with salt and pepper. Use as a recipe directs, or serve it on its own.
