60 grams Pine nuts
250 grams Pastry flour
2 teaspoons Baking powder

1 pinch Salt
2 Eggs (medium)
150 grams Sugar
125 grams melted Butter
250 milliliters Kefir
125 grams dried cranberries

Preparation steps

For the muffins, grind pine nuts and toast in a nonstick pan. Pour onto a plate and cool. In a bowl, mix together flour with baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, sugar, butter and kefir together. Add pine nuts to flour mixture and gently fold into wet ingredients, stirring until just combined. Fold in cranberries. Line wells of a muffin tin with paper liners and pour in batter.

Bake in a preheated oven at 175°C (approximately 350°F, gas mark 2-3, fan: 160°C) for 35 minutes. Cool. Cut out 12 circles, each about 9 cm (approximately 3 inches) in diameter. Shape remaining into 12 small balls. Top each muffin with a ball and then drape marzipan circle over them and shape as desired to resemble a ghost. Decorate faces with red and green icing. Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
