1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 generous pinch Vanilla bean
1 egg
150 grams cold butter
95 grams Cranberry (.)
80 grams chopped Walnut

Preparation steps

1.

Mix the flour, powdered sugar, lemon zest and vanilla seeds on a work surface. Form a well in the center, pour in the egg and spread the chopped butter around the edge. Quickly knead the ingredients into a smooth dough, wrap in plastic and chill for 1 hour.

Roll the dough out on a floured surface until 3-4 mm (approximately 1/4 inch) thick. Use cookie cutters to cut out shapes (such as flowers). Mix the cranberries and nuts. Spread over the cookies.

Place the cookies on a lined baking sheet. Bake for about 10 minutes at 180°C (approximately 350°F), until golden. Remove from the oven and let cool. Serve dusted with powdered sugar.
