Cranberry-Apple Smoothie

- 2 Apple (about 250 grams)
- 4 ozs Cranberry
- 2 ozs Vanilla yogurt (1.5% fat)
- ½ cup Liquid whey
Rinse and dry apples. With a sturdy peeler, remove peel from 1 apple in a long spiral; set aside as a garnish. Cut both apples into quarters. Core and coarsely chop.
Rinse cranberries in a colander and drain.
Combine apple, cranberries and yogurt in a blender (or use an immersion blender); puree until completely smooth. Pour into a tall glass, stir in liquid whey and garnish with reserved apple peel.

Here apples provide for satiating pectins, minerals and vitamin C; cranberries provide plenty of plant substances for a well-functioning immune defence. Whey, for its part, makes you fit through potassium, magnesium, calcium and iodine, B vitamins and proteins.
